Historical Background

Although the family lineage can be traced back to the 13th century, the first documented reference to the château dates from 1495.
Originally, it was a small Bourbonnais defensive castle, of which three stone corbels remain visible today on one of the towers.

At the end of the 18th century, a count commissioned the installation of a Volvic stone staircase within the tower. In 1792, during the Reign of Terror, his assets were confiscated; he owed his survival to the intervention of his son, who was serving in the Republican army.

In the second half of the 19th century, a baron acquired the property. His son subsequently undertook a major restoration and expansion campaign, notably adding a Renaissance tower and a tall central tower, offering an elegant and refined reinterpretation of the medieval château.

While the slender towers and Gothic spires evoke the Middle Ages, the building is in fact a 19th-century château, offering approximately 1,100 sqm of living space.

Layout of the Château

The château is currently divided into independent apartments, each with its own private access, with an average surface area of approximately 150 sqm.
This configuration allows for multiple uses: private residence, guest house, or prestigious reception venue.

Remarkable Architectural Features

The architectural structure is distinguished by fluted white marble columns, resting on delicately sculpted bases and capitals.
